Pay $16.00 Hourly Position Summary
An undergraduate research assistant position (10 hours per week) is available to support the grant “Multilingual and Multidialectal approaches in the Arabic classroom” (PI: Dr. Emma Trentman, Sponsor: Qatar Foundation International). This position is for academic year 2025-2026 with potential for employment in summer 2026. The primary duties will focus on classroom research and materials development.
Duties:
- Create short videos for Arabic students;
- Create vocabulary lists with sound files and activities based on these videos;
- Edit a WordPress site for teaching Arabic
- Code classroom data using the MAXQDA software
- Video Arabic classes

Preferred Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate student registered for classes in Fall 2025
- Advanced proficiency in Arabic and English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Language teaching experience
- Experience with linguistic analysis
- Experience with qualitative data analysis
- Familiarity with video and audio editing applications
- Familiarity with WordPress sites
