Job Description
This company will be established in Oman by a renowned international investor in partnership with the Omani government. Its primary investment targets are a large-scale energy project and a large-scale IT project in Oman.
This Commercial Manager/Director will serve as a consultant to the investor, temporarily assigned to Muscat. He will be responsible for communication and coordination during the initial negotiations between the two parties, and will participate in market research, business development, and other aspects of the project. He will become a full-time employee upon completion of investment negotiations and registration of the joint venture.
Responsibilities:
Market Research and Information Gathering: Understand the local economic, financial, legal, and policy environment to provide information support for investment decisions.
Business Development and Partnership Negotiation: Strengthen the company’s ties with local governments, businesses, and financial institutions, accurately convey information, and assist in project implementation.
Project Coordination: Maintain communication with local partners during project planning and preparation, resolve practical issues, and ensure the smooth implementation of future projects.
Risk Management and Compliance: Monitor local market risks and ensure the company’s investment activities comply with local laws and regulations.
Skills
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, financial management, or other related fields.
2. At least 8 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years of local experience in Oman.
3. Proficient in Chinese and English, with basic ability to communicate in Arabic.
4. Strong organizational, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong risk assessment and control skills and practical experience.
6. Diligence, tenacity, and stress tolerance to adapt to the challenges of overseas work.
