H4H Human for Human local NGO based in Karbala is seeking for qualified applicants for the below post to work within the Karbala Headquarters  :

Reports to: Project Manager

Reporting lines: Project Assistant.

Subordinates: Project Manager and Project Assistant.


Human for Human organization is an Iraqi local organization working in central and south of Iraq. The organization most specialized field of work is relief programs, capacity building and development. The organization has received funds from United Nations, international governmental funds and international donor organizations. H4H is focusing on child protection, youth development and economic development.


The Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of and adherence to logistic and procurement procedures, Fleet management warehouse activities and provides logistical support to H4H Projects in Iraq.


H4H seeks qualified candidates to fill 1 position in H4H Karbala Headquarters  and the supports offices in Basra and Diwaniyah ,The staff will be required to work 5 days a week 40 hours

Position Summary


  • Make sure that all utilities are functional and available (Electricity, Water, Gas, phone, internet etc.)
  • Make sure all premises equipped with first aid kit and fire extinguisher
  • Make sure all premises are secure and protected from all threats (theft, electric surge, fire etc.)
  • Undertake the renovation and maintenance of structures needed (programmers, offices, Guest houses, warehouse
  • Follow up with electricity whether power Generators or the local generator (when proper H4H generator will be set up) :
  • Control and justify generator monthly cost, through regular checks of Generator consumption follow up tool; for (office Generator, Guest House Generator, SC generator)
  • Participating in Establish and maintain efficient Warehouse Management at H4H managed facilities. This includes training of staff in proper procedures and setting up of warehouse, i.e. Stocktaking, stacking techniques, shelving, pest control etc.
  • Asset management, including control of asset requisition, movement, and upkeep of an assets list etc.
  • Ensure that all procurement is done according to H4H policies and guidelines and that the paper-trail is always intact.
  • Follow up with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely and effective supply and delivery of goods, services and works, collect the quotations.
  • Communication with relevant departments on procurement status on daily and weekly bases.
  • Supervising the three drivers in Basrah and Diwaniyah offices.
  • Build strong relationships with project partners and program participants, providing technical assistance, career coaching, listening, and empathy throughout the implementation.
  • Coach your program participants in essential skills training for quality employment in the local and international labor markets.
  • Develop quality coaching materials and daily training sessions for your participants. Prepare detailed and relevant session plans and interactive daily sessions using the latest tools and techniques in the Tech field.
  • Evaluate your program participants individually and submit detailed, accurate reporting on a daily basis.
  • Provide the needed reports to the program manager and provide heads up when needed.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in administration, project management or progressive responsibility in procurement
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a procurement role for UN and EU funded projects.
  • Ability to work in a professional and cordial manner with fellow staff members, visitors, and partner institutions including international and local NGOs, governmental entities, support organizations, and the general public
  • Experience working closely with multidisciplinary teams of junior and senior-level staff
  • Demonstrated maturity, dependability, integrity, and initiative to learn competencies and skills required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with culturally diverse staff
  • Accuracy in working with large amounts of data
  • Fluency in written and oral Arabic and English is required
