Founded in 2003, Women Rehabilitation Organization (WRO) is a non-profit, non-governmental, independent organization dedicated to working towards the protection and advancement of women’s and child rights and the engagement of all members of society across Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI). WRO supports the needs of Syrian refugee, IDP, Returnee, and Host Community women, men, and children in prevention and response to sexual/gender-based violence (SGBV) and increasing their access to quality economic, social, protection, and health services. WROs mission is to engage as humanitarian aid workers to provide effective and efficient humanitarian aid and development support and empower individuals and communities to become agents of change where every woman, man and child have access to social justice, gender equality and a dignified life free from violence and discrimination. WRO vision is built on the principles and believes in collaborate and collective action of civil society, international organizations and individuals in investing in the communal needs of refugee, IDPs and host communities to forge social cohesion and peaceful coexistence.
In partnership with UN agencies, international organizations and governmental bodies, WRO has been able to successfully contribute towards meeting individual and community needs and WRO has become a local and regional expert in SGBV prevention and response and multi-sectorial integrated empowerment programming that fosters gender and protection mainstreaming. WROs truly believes in individual and collective empowerment though a holistic and integrate approach that provide women and girls survivors of GBV to help to heal from the psychological distress, and rediscover hope and retain dignity. Moreover, WRO has a particular interest in engaging men and boys and local leaders as well as agents of change through, raising awareness of rights and the value of equal participation, and responding to protections violations faced by men and boys.
WRO has over a sixteen-year history of successfully delivering over 100 humanitarian and development initiatives focused on advocacy, stabilization and reconciliation, peace building, general protection, child protection, SGBV prevention and response, psychological MHPSS and physical health and well-being, non-formal education, individual and community capacity building, wash, legal, advocacy, livelihoods, political and economic participation, voter and democratic awareness, reconstruction civil society and governmental capacity building and Engagement initiatives. Furthermore, WRO is devoted to international commitments including contribution to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and UNSCR 1325 on women, peace and security.
As a national and regional expert in Protection and SGBV, WROs efforts have shed light locally and internationally through awareness raising and advocacy on many important issues such as mainstreaming gender-based violence GBV across all sectors, sexual violence in conflict SVC, and other issued related to marginalized groups rights in Iraq through initiatives that directly impact tens of thousands of families each year including though provision of lifesaving support and developmental services that help to heal from psychological distress, rediscover hope, and retain dignity in an effort to support individuals and families in creating and determining their own futures.

Job description and responsibilities
Budgeting and Cash Management:
To coordinate the preparation of country annual budgets and support technical staff in its preparation in accordance with WRO and donors requirements. It includes the integration and preparation of the organization annual budgets.
Supervise programs budgets follow up, including WRO office management using relevant reports to identify relevant/expected implementation discrepancies.
To ensure that there are enough funds available in the country to execute the activities, supervising the relevant reports and transaction (cash reconciliations, funds requests).
Overall relation with banks, including opening and closing accounts, negotiation of conditions.
Overview the performance of WRO offices, ensuring the effective transparent use of funds.
Supervise and support the working team on the preparation of budgets, fund requests and follow up the settlements of fund transferred.
To train accounting staff on the detailed financial guidelines and requirements in order to implement activities and execute budgets accordingly.
To deal with issues not amended by the accounting staff in agreement with the Executive Director.
Accounting and Reporting:
Supervise payments of expenses executed ensuring they fulfill donors and WRO regulations.
Ensure that the expenses executed by WRO are allocated to the relevant programs.
Ensure your proper accounting of all projects transactions in the WRO relevant tools. This includes both, WRO and partners transactions.
To ensure proper preparation of Financial Statements, cash books, list of expenses, bank accounts reconciliation, etc.
Submit financial reports and send the relevant financial supporting documents in accordance with WRO requirements to Non-governmental NGO department.
Develop WRO applicable tools and boost capacity of the accounting section.
Collection and filing of regular financial reports and budget records.
Ensuring financial and resource accountability and effective management for records as required for auditing.
