Description

COOPI is officially registered in Kurdish Region of Iraq and in Federal Iraq and has been active in Iraq since end of 2016 when started implementing a series projects in Education sector in Mosul district with funding from AICS and private donors. In 2019, COOPI started with WASH programming and emergency cash interventions in Salah ad Din governorate. In 2022 COOPI bring WASH, education, child protection, and livelihoods programming in Iraq, later during 2024, COOPI will run a protection project including case management, cash assistance, capacity building activities for the society and the local authorities, community profiling and community dialogues in which the activities are mainly focusing on the community level in-order to better link the society with the provided services with a special focus on the most vulnerable returnees and IDPs, especially those living in informal settlements.

Under the direct supervision of the Case Manager, the social worker is in charge of providing case management assistance, PSS Activities, referrals of the identified cases in order to support the beneficiaries to reach the required services.

Main Duties:

  • Support in collecting data & identifying the vulnerable beneficiaries.
  • Assist in case management and counseling sessions as needed and requested.
  • Assist the case manager in doing referrals of the identified cases to the needed service providers.
  • plan and implement the psychosocial support activities in the field.
  • Supporting the implementation of activities and training.
  • Facilitating meetings with local CSOs, youth networks, and other actors.
  • Lead on the announcement of activities and public events.
  • Develop a weekly plan along with the staff.
  • Participate effectively in internal meetings.
  • Regularly document the activities by photos and notes.
  • Coordinate with local CSOs and the local community for joint activities and collaboration.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Qualifications & Preferred skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sociology sciences or an equivalent degree.
  • Having at least two years of experience working with an NGO in similar positions.
  • Knowledge of Development, humanitarian field, and design of protection interventions.
  • Excellent language command including writing skills in Arabic, English language will be an assist.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Own transportation method and life in close area to the field to enable him/her reach the field smoothly.
