Receptionist/HR Department Assistant

Position Summary: This position is responsible for managing the front desk area by ensuring it is kept clean and organized. Ensure guests are assisted promptly in a professional and courteous manner. Assists with HR clerical/administrative duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greets and assists guests in an efficient, professional, friendly and hospitable manner.

Professionally administers and directs all incoming calls.

Keeps front reception area and conference rooms in presentable, clean and organized, manner.

Opens and closes the reception area timely.

Prepares new hire orientation packets.

Assists with the offer and new hire process to include: extending approved offers, scheduling the physical, drug screen, and/or any additional pre-employment screening requirements, enter and run the background check, etc.

Uses Outlook Calendar to schedule interviews and appointments.

Assists HR team with clerical/administrative duties.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Experience: 2+ years recent administrative, office support and/or HR support experience desired.

Skills & Abilities:
Must have exceptional English verbal and written communication skills.

Must possess a professional and positive customer service orientation and phone etiquette with ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees and guests.

Must have a positive attitude, be a self-starter and have excellent follow-up and follow-through.

Must be detail-oriented, have strong organization and time-management skills and be able to efficiently multi-task in a changing environment.

Proficient working knowledge of general office equipment and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook is required.

Regular and timely attendance is required

Physical Requirements:
This is an office position that requires working on a computer and phone the majority of the day.

Requires the use of office equipment such as copier, and fax frequently throughout the day

Regularly required to use hands to type, finger, handle or grasp.

Frequently required to sit, talk, hear and respond.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to type, finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
