LOGCAP – Tool Room Custodian (OCN)

Louis Berger Services is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill positions for the Tool Room Attendent/Custodian on multiple sites within CENTCOM countries located in Kuwait and or Iraq in support of LOGCAP 5.

All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

The Tool Room Attendant/ Custodian maintains daily operation of Tool Room and related activities to include, but not limited to the following:

• Orders, receives, issues and turn-in of unserviceable tools.
• Responsible for change of custody and quarterly tool room inventories. Submit through calibration, special and calibrated tools as scheduled, to maintain a within use tolerance status. Orders through the supply system and maintains shop supplies / materials for daily operations.
• Issues, receives, orders, turns in of unserviceable tools, stores maintain tools and tool room per DA PAM 710-2
• Performs cyclic inventories of tools and equipment issued from the tool room
• Performs toolbox inventories as required for issuing and turn-in for employees.
• Submits items as directed to calibration and returns them to the tool room as completed
• Performs clean-up duties and polices the shop areas as assigned
• Mentors and assists with on-the-job training and cross-training
• Participates in training and cross-training sessions as required and necessary
• Complies with all safety, environmental and quality standards and applicable COPs and DOPs
• Provides for the accountability and proper care of all GFE/ CFE

• Other Duties: Will be required, on an as needed basis, to assist or perform functions in alternate areas of the project

  Performs other duties as assigned

• Must be knowledgeable in basic computer skills and office equipment usage
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment (up to 10K forklifts)
• Must understand and be able to use Technical Manuals
• Field of Expertise: Issuing, receiving and storing tools
• Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
• Writes performance evaluation comments and reports when places in a control/ assignment directive role
• Work under stressful circumstances and meets shorts suspense dates

Experience & Education

• Must have one (1) year verifiable experience in military or civilian maintenance operation where tools are utilized, inventoried and identified. Excludes Supply/Warehouse experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Must be free of medical restriction/ limitations that prevent the performance of required duties and/ or prevent the wearing and utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Must be physically capable of performing the work in conditions of extreme temperatures, low humidity, rain and blowing sand and dust
• Employees shall utilize all proper lifting procedures and practices associated with all lifting and material handling tasks that are assigned and associated with this job description
• May be required to work on uncommon hours of duty, extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Work scheduled Weekly Hours up to 72 hours per week.

Working Environment

• Duties will involve work in the outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions including frequent dust storms, and high temperatures up to 130F degrees in the summer months.
• Must be able to work overhead with arms raised for extended periods.
