Training Location: Halabja Governorate, KRI, Iraq
Training Duration: 4 (2 days) thematic training workshops & 1 Mentorship Workshop (January to March)
Introduction:
WEO is seeking a qualified trainer to deliver capacity-building workshops as part of the “Women and Peace” project funded by WfWI. The trainer will play a key role in equipping female leaders and youth feminist activists in Halabja with the necessary tools to lead effective community-based initiatives. It aims to enhance leadership, conflict mapping and analysis, mediation, negotiation, and community dialogue skills of female community leaders and youth feminist activists in Halabja, and to empower them to implement community-led initiatives promoting equality between men and social cohesion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver four thematic workshops each one for 2 days for 10 female community leaders. Topics will include leadership, conflict mapping and analysis, mediation, negotiation, and community dialogue skills.
- Deliver a 1-day mentorship workshop to collaborate with trained 10 female leaders to mentor 20 youth activists, fostering their leadership and community activism skills.
- Design and deliver comprehensive thematic workshop tools including PowerPoint presentations, agenda, case studies, pre/post-tests, etc.
- Conduct a pre-training assessment to evaluate the participants’ skills and design the training material accordingly.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the training program through assessments, participant feedback, and post-training evaluations.
- Preparing a final report documenting the complete process, results, recommendations, challenges, or risks with their solution.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in leadership, conflict resolution, mediation, and community dialogue.
- Proven experience in delivering capacity-building training, particularly for women and youth.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills with diverse groups, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of local dynamics in Halabja governorate and an understanding of the challenges faced by women leaders and youth activists.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English languages.
