Result of Service
The consultancy assignment is under the direct supervision of the Ethics Officer. The consultant is expected to work remotely, and to present regular reports in accordance with a schedule to be agreed as part of the contract for this assignment.

It should be noted that the assignment is for a period of 100 working days over 6 months, starting as soon as possible.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Communications and Outreach Consultant will:
- Lead the creation of awareness raising, communication and education materials in various forms (written and visual, including but not limited to reports, power point presentations, communications materials for different types of activities/meetings) on a variety of topics (including but not limited to standards of conduct, conflicts of interest, outside activity, gifts, protection against retaliation and sexual harassment) and for a variety of audience.
- Ensure the effective design and delivery of communications products so to convey the desired message to the targeted audience.
- Effectuate improvements to messages included in the internal and external webpages of the Ethics Office.
- Identify best practices of other UN system organizations on communications strategy;
- Assist in the review of existing policies and procedures related to ethics issues, such as outside activities, honours and gifts, and financial disclosure and conflict of interest; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/special skills
Academic Qualifications:
A first-level university degree in law, ethics and compliance, business or public administration, political science, social sciences, education, or related field.
Experience: Essential
- At least five years of relevant experience in the ethics and compliance or a related field, with at least three years within the UN system or other international organizations.
Desirable
- Experience and expertise in visual communications production and in creating other awareness raising and outreach materials.
- Experience with using graphic design software (i.e. Publisher and PowerPoint etc.).
- Knowledge of the UN ethics/standards of conduct, ethics and compliance and/or protection against retaliation and sexual harassment.
Language: Essential
Fluent reading, writing and speaking abilities in English.
Desirable
A working knowledge of a second language of the Organization (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish).
