The School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures within the Faculty of Arts is currently seeking applications for Sessional Instructors to teach the following section in the upcoming Fall 2021* session.
The University of Calgary is planning to safely welcome its students, faculty, and staff back to campus for the fall 2021 term. It is planning for increased in-person instruction, and thus, if Alberta Health Services deems it will be safe for us to return to campus, the successful candidates for positions will be expected to teach on-campus in-person. If it will not be possible for increased in-person instruction, the successful candidates for these positions will be expected to teach on-line.
Fall 2021
ALMC 202: Beginners’ Arabic I LEC 02 MWRF 14:00-14:50
This course will be offered in a blended learning format: In-person lecture Monday/Wednesday/Friday;
Asynchronous online learning Thursday
Qualifications:
Candidates must have an educational background that includes training in language pedagogy and work in Arabic. It is also desirable that they have experience teaching Modern Standard Arabic at the university level. Experience teaching at a North American university is required.

- These courses are tentative, pending funding and sufficient enrollments. An offer of a Term Certain Sessional Instructor appointment may be cancelled in whole or in part by the Governors prior to the commencement of the appointment term (23.10 in the Collective Agreement).
