Summary
Duties and responsibilities related to the Lifeguard role:
- Maintain constant, uninterrupted surveillance of guests in and around the pool areas to prevent accidents
- Enforce all safety rules and regulations of the pool and recreational areas in a polite yet firm manner
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards to the management, such as broken tiles, faulty equipment, or unsafe guest behavior
- Monitor water conditions, including chemical levels and clarity, and report any issues to the appropriate department
- Administer first aid, CPR, and use an AED in accordance with professional training and certification standards
- Proactively assist guests with their needs, such as providing towels, adjusting umbrellas, offering water, and answering questions about the hotel facilities
- Conduct daily opening and closing procedures for the pool area, ensuring everything is safe, clean, and ready for guests
Qualifications
- Holder of an international lifeguard certification (gold)
- Minimum of 2 years work experience as fitness instructor or consultant
