Job Description

  • Perform in-service, out-of-service, and on-stream inspections of above-ground storage tanks.
  • Assess tank condition in accordance with API 653, API 650, and client specifications.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of tank bottoms, shells, roofs, nozzles, annular plates, and foundations.
  • Evaluate corrosion, pitting, settlement, and mechanical damage.
  • Review inspection data, corrosion rates, and remaining life calculations.
  • Determine repair, alteration, and reconstruction requirements as per API 653.
  • Verify repair procedures, welding activities, and welder qualifications.
  • Witness and inspect NDT activities (UT thickness measurements, MT, PT, RT).
  • Review and approve inspection reports, repair recommendations, and fitness-for-service evaluations.
  • Ensure hydrostatic testing, vacuum box testing, and settlement monitoring are conducted as required.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and update tank inspection history files.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, contractors, and third-party inspection agencies.
  • Ensure all inspection activities comply with HSE requirements and site safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Valid CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI or another acceptable equivalent (approved by COMPANY)
  • Valid API 653 Certification.
  • Having a minimum of 5 years of post-welding certification experience in the Oil & Gas industry, covering construction and source inspection.
  • Valid ASNT Level 2 Certification in RT,UT,PT & MT
  • Engineering Diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • Good English lingual skills.
  • Should well versed in Site inspection activities, documentation and handover
  • Previous ADNOC Experience is preferred
  • Valid CICPA and other ADNOC Offshore training
