Major Responsibilities:
Establish a Work Plan to ensure accurate start-up of the project in obligation with the donor expectations and standards.
Work with the team to continuously craft and adapt the community outreach and mobilization strategy
build initial needs assessment and service mapping in the targeted locations to ensure design and implementation of adequate services and coordination with other international and national actors.
Build initial assessments and community mapping to identify key CBOs, community leaders, and potential women’s group or other community initiatives supporting vulnerable females
support and build the identification of safe spaces in communities adapted to the mobile delivery of services.
Conduct regular awareness-raising sessions in communities, including in child-friendly spaces, schools, and other places of gathering initially identified as accessible by community members.
Support the establishment of new women groups in communities, coordinate and build their knowledge on the SOPs, referral pathways, and services available.
Conduct a number of home visits, community mobilization events, and trust-building activities.
Raise awareness on the Inter-Agency SOPs and referral procedures for GBV services based on needs assessment, service mapping, and capacity assessment of potential partners.
coordinate to conduct training on GBV basic concepts, risk identification, and mitigation, SOPs, and referral pathway.
Ensure the establishment and sustainability of effective and trusted engagement with communities and with local government partners, to build responsive and balanced programming.
Support the rollout of referral pathway/SOPs with program partners.
positively Assist community leaders and service providers in implementing prevention mechanisms within their functions.
Work and coordinate with the Sr. Outreach Officer, the communication department, and the WPE program manager to develop effective Information, Education, and Communication tools.
Coordinate for establishing a maintain collaborative and positive relationships between IRC and other partners
Provide weekly updates and monthly reports on the progress of implementation.
Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Internal: WPE Outreach Counselors, WPE counselors, Deputy Program Manager
External: Community leaders/ CBO supervisors/NGO local staff/INGO focal point for mobilization activities and referral pathways
Job Requirements:
University degree in a field of gender-based violence, social work, community work, or related field.
Approximately 2-proven experience in conducting awareness sessions, training in GBV in emergency settings. Experience in social works is desirable.
Excellent technical skills in community mobilization / GBV/case management.
Familiarity with international guiding principles and standard methodologies required on GBV in humanitarian settings.
Understanding of concepts of protection, do no harm, accountability, clarity.
Understanding of the gender-rooted power inequalities and their impact on females and broader communities.
Experience services mapping, conducting assessments, and using participatory approaches.
Experience working with NGOs, community leaders, religious leaders, and local authorities.
Strong project planning, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Flexible and desire in working within different locations.
Ability to work in unstable security environments, and under administrative and programmatic pressures.
Ability to write clear and concise reports.
Digital literacy, in particular, Outlook and Microsoft office
Proficiency in Arabic and English languages
Working Environment:
This position will be based out of the Women’s and Girls’ Centers in Amman but is encouraged to provide services in communities as part of IRC outreach work.
