POSITION SUMMARY
Promotes student success through the access and participation in student life and student government at all NSCC campuses.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides oversight and organization of student activities at the NSCC White Bridge Road campus.
Coordinates college-wide student activities at all NSCC campuses.
Develops creative and educational programming for student life.
Provides training and serves as contact for student organization advisors.
Creates and manages student life budget.
Supervises Secretary of Student Life.
Serves as advisor to the Student Government Officers.
Assists Student Government Officers in the use of student life funds.
Develops contract with outside vendors in provide student life programming.
Supports the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs in coordinating student events
Performs other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Three years responsible work experience within student life/programming in higher education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree from an accredited institution
Community college experience
Experience using a computerized records management system.
Experience with event planning.
Bi-lingual in Spanish or Arabic.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to oversee student government officers.
Knowledge of student development theory
Excellent planning and organizational skills
RATE OF PAY: $55,050 – $68,813
