Position: IP Engineer

Duty Location: Erbil

Contract Type: Permanent

Starting date: As soon as possible

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled IP Engineer to work under the direct supervision of NOC Manager, and with our IP team to achieve our business’ digital goals. The IP Engineer will be responsible to investigate and troubleshoot problems that have been escalated by the customers, create and maintain accurate network documentations and diagrams, proactively assess the environment and bring forward solutions to increase network resiliency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proactively assess the environment and bring forward solutions to increase network resiliency.
• Responsible for distribution and core layer elements, configuration, installation and monitoring.
• Configuring and maintaining BGP sessions with upstream providers and BGP customers.
• Service provisioning such as Internet service, MPLS L2&3 VPNs and other network-based services.
• Interact with T1 providers and upstream carriers.
• Work and interact with other team members and other related departments.
• Work on Monitoring Systems (NMS)
• Available to work on Shifts.

Qualifications:

• BSc in Electronic, computer, and telecommunication engineering, computer science or relevant field
• Deep understanding of static and dynamic routing protocols, and hands-on experience in the IP MPLS networks and BGP routing.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and OSI model.
• Hands on IPv4 / IPv6 configuration and implementations.
• CCNA or equivalent experience is preferred.
• One to two years of experience in telecommunication or IT services industry.
