IT Specialist

**This position is contingent upon contract award**

SOSi is seeking an IT Specialist to join a medical support services program in Iraq in support of our U.S. government customer. The IT Specialist will facilitate providing IT support throughout Iraq for the entire program.

• Provides IT support throughout Iraq for the entire contractual program
• Performs server patching
• Supports VoIP phones and understanding Call Manager functions
• Supports Wireless communications
• Designs and maintains cabling infrastructure
• Coordinates network changes with internal staff and subcontractors as required
• Working with monitoring systems
• Performs IT help desk functions
• Assists with the planning, implementation, and supporting of the network platform and with the installation and maintenance of various Local Area Networks’ hardware and software infrastructure
• Assists with analyzing requirements for the computer and network systems technology and reviewing available vendor offerings

• Required and able to obtain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT)

• Associate degree from an accredited college/university

• Certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Must have relevant experience for at least six months out of the past year

• Minimum of two years of direct experience in Iraq, performing similar duties is desirable

• Experience in satellite communications strongly desirable

• Experience with Motorola and Condan radio equipment very desirable

• Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required

• Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable

• Long Hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions

• Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse condition
