Valiant seeks a skilled Assistant Site Manager (ASM) to provide operational, administrative, and management support for DLITE operations in the Middle East. The ASM serves as the primary PoC for resolving linguist issues, ensuring accountability, and overseeing accurate input of payroll data by a linguist. The ASM will identify issues to the Task Order Program Manager (TOPM) that impact staff, linguists, and customers at the site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide operational, administrative, and management oversight to all Valiant and subcontractor linguists in the assigned area of operation.
- Receive and maintain a SIPR token
- Initiate Movements within Theater via SIPR
- Manage day-to-day actions to ensure Valiant is providing quality service and support to the customer in the assigned area of operations.
- Communicate any new changes, requirements, concerns, and issues to the Task Order Program Manager.
- Ensure that all customer requests are forwarded to the Task Order Program Manager and the customer is kept aware of the request status.
- Conduct daily meetings with the customer to ensure that expectations are appropriately managed and that all requirements defined by the SOW are met.
- Coordinate with the customer to support linguist schedules and travel, including arranging travel schedules and reservations.
- Ensure the linguist’s health, morale, and welfare requirements are met.
- Ensure linguists adhere to established customer regulations and conduct standards.
- Ensure that linguists adhere to the work schedule and all administrative procedures and requirements.
- Handle administrative matters concerning the linguists, including processing correspondence and maintaining records.
- Manage incoming mail by reading, routing, and attaching appropriate files to correspondence.
- Compose and type routine correspondence.
- Organize and maintain the file system, file correspondence, and other records.
- Answer and screen telephone calls and arrange conference calls.
- Coordinate schedules and make appointments.
- Greet scheduled visitors and conduct them to the appropriate area or person.
- Conduct research and compile and type statistical reports.
- Coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare agendas, reserve and prepare facilities, and record and transcribe meeting minutes.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to work long hours for extended periods
- Work and travel in austere environments
- US citizen with current U.S. passport
- Must be able to work in a sitting position for eight or more hours per day.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds as needed. Employees shall utilize all proper lifting procedures and practices associated with all lifting and material handling tasks that are assigned and associated with this job description.
- Must be able to travel to job locations by automobile and commercial airline.
- Must be able to wear appropriate chemical and ballistic protective gear as required in a war hazard zone.
Physical Requirements:
- Fit for Duty – The selected candidate must undergo an extensive medical examination to be certified medically fit for duty in the work assignment location. Similarly, the selected candidate must undergo a dental examination to be certified that there are no foreseen imminent dental issues. And the selected candidate must be vaccinated according to the required immunizations for the Area of Operation of the work assignment or be able and willing to receive the required immunizations prior to deployment to the work assignment location.
- Must have sufficient unaided hearing to perform duties safely, hear and wake up to emergency alarms unaided, and hear instructions in the absence of visual cues such as lip reading. If the applicant does not meet this requirement, a Speech Recognition In Noise Test (SPRINT) or equivalent testing is required, along with an approved waiver pursuant to CENTCOM MOD 18, Section 15, TAB A.
- Must be able to work under stressful circumstances and meet short suspense dates.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must be free of medical restrictions/ limitations that prevent the performance of required duties and/ or prevent the wearing and utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be physically capable of performing the work in conditions of extreme temperatures, low humidity, rain, and blowing sand and dust.
- May be required to work on uncommon hours of duty, extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Employees shall utilize all proper lifting procedures and practices associated with all lifting and material handling tasks that are assigned and associated with this job description.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, crawl, and climb as necessary to perform job functions using proper techniques and PPE for extended periods unassisted.
