Your Day to Day: 

People

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to plan and execute painting and interior decoration projects.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians, fostering teamwork and professional development. 
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues, guests, and other departments to understand and address decorative needs and concerns. 
  • Coordinate with external contractors or vendors when necessary to ensure high-quality outcomes. 

Financial 

  • Assist in developing and managing the plumbing maintenance and repair budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. 
  • Monitor inventory levels of plumbing supplies and equipment, coordinating with the storekeeper for timely replenishment. 
  • Participate in cost control initiatives by recommending efficient plumbing solutions that minimize operational expenses. 
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate recording of plumbing-related expenses and invoices.

Guest Experience

  • Maintain and enhance the aesthetic appeal of guest rooms, public spaces, and other areas of the hotel through painting and interior decoration. 
  • Respond promptly to guest requests or complaints related to painting and decoration, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute decorative enhancements that enhance the overall guest experience. 
  • Monitor guest feedback related to painting and interior decoration and make necessary improvements based on the feedback.

Responsible Business 

  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to painting and decoration practices.
  • Work with the engineering team to promote environmentally sustainable painting and decoration practices. 
  • Ensure proper waste management and disposal of painting materials.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source environmentally friendly painting and decoration materials.

What we need from you: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications in painting or interior decoration are preferred). 
  • Proven experience as a painting or interior decoration technician, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques, colour theory, and interior design principles. 
  • Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues. 
  • Familiarity with painting materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Understanding of financial principles related to budget management and cost control.
  • Commitment to responsible business practices and sustainability.
