Your Day to Day: 

People

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to support the maintenance and repair of the hotel’s plumbing systems. 
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians, promoting teamwork, professional development, and a safe work environment. 
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, guests, and other departments to understand and address plumbing-related concerns promptly. 
  • Coordinate with external contractors or vendors when necessary to ensure efficient and quality repairs or installations.

Financial 

  • Assist in developing and managing the plumbing maintenance and repair budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. 
  • Monitor inventory levels of plumbing supplies and equipment, coordinating with the storekeeper for timely replenishment. 
  • Participate in cost control initiatives by recommending efficient plumbing solutions that minimize operational expenses. 
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate recording of plumbing-related expenses and invoices.

Guest Experience

  • Respond promptly to guest requests or complaints regarding plumbing issues, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to minimize service disruptions caused by plumbing maintenance or repairs. 
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on plumbing systems to proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact guest comfort. 

Monitor guest feedback related to plumbing services and make necessary improvements based on the feedback.

Responsible Business 

  • Comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in plumbing practices.
  • Work with the engineering team to promote responsible water usage and environmentally sustainable practices. 
  • Ensure adherence to plumbing codes and standards to maintain a safe and reliable plumbing infrastructure. 
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source environmentally friendly plumbing materials and equipment.

What we need from you: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications in plumbing are preferred). 
  • Proven experience as a plumbing technician, preferably in the hospitality industry. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repairs. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly and accurately diagnose plumbing issues. 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues. 
  • Familiarity with plumbing codes and regulations. 
  • Understanding of financial principles related to budget management and cost control. 
  • Commitment to responsible business practices and sustainability.
