Summary

  • Ensure guests receive excellent service and satisfaction throughout their dining experience, anticipating needs and providing personalized attention
  • Supervise and guide waiters during service to maintain hotel standards and smooth workflow
  • Manage table assignments, reservations, and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow
  • Check accuracy of orders taken, confirm special requests, and coordinate timely delivery to guests
  • Promote menu items, specials, and beverages through effective upselling techniques and suggest pairings
  • Communicate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth order execution and resolve delays quickly
  • Handle minor guest complaints professionally and escalate major issues to the Team Leader promptly
  • Train and mentor waiters on service etiquette, menu knowledge, and hotel policies for consistent quality
  • Inspect table setups, cutlery, glassware, and cleanliness before and during service to uphold standards
  • Assist with billing, payment processing, and provide feedback to the Team Leader on staff performance and operational improvements

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 1-2 year of experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a 5-star hotel environment
  • Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards, menu items, wines, and beverages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to handle guest interactions professionally
  • Ability to supervise and train junior staff, with good leadership and problem-solving skills
