As an HSEW Engineer/Advisor, your primary purpose is to champion Health, Safety, Environment, and Wellbeing (HSEW) excellence at the site level. You’ll be the go-to person for HSEW advice and support, quickly gaining the trust of site teams. Your role involves monitoring and ensuring the effective implementation of our project Risk Control Strategy, and providing essential expertise in interpreting health, safety, and environmental regulations. Your contribution will help Jacobs and our contractors enhance safety and environmental practices on site.

  • Conduct daily site visits and focused inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Advocate and promote the Jacobs Safety Observation Report (SOR) System.
  • Collaborate with the Jacobs Construction Engineers HSE team.
  • Mentor and coach contractor site supervision and HSE teams and work closely with Jacobs Construction Engineers, guiding them on processes and procedures.
  • Be an active participant in Construction Engineers Weekly Meetings and Jacobs Cross Program HSE Weekly Meetings.
  • Attend and support site-level Pre-task briefings, Tool Box Talks, and Safety Stand downs.
  • Intervene and report unsafe acts or conditions. And also provide recommendations for Safety Violations Reports (SVR) and Stop Work Notices (SWN) to Construction Managers.
  • Champion the Jacobs Beyond Zero Culture of Caring and the Clients’ Zero Harm philosophy.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

As an successful candidate for HSE Advisor you will possess following attributes

  • You bring a wealth of experience, with 5+ years in infrastructure projects, particularly large-scale civil work packages.
  • You hold advanced technical training and/or a bachelor’s degree in an HSE-related field.
  • You possess a deep understanding of KSA Federal Regulations.
  • Your communication skills are top-notch., and you excel in IT skills.

You will play a pivotal role in protecting people from harm and driving HSEW strategies while supporting continuous improvement. Open communication with Program and Construction Managers, the HSEW KSA Director, and occasionally Regional Managers will be a vital part of your journey.
