Job Description
We are seeking a talented and creative Main Kitchen Artist to join our culinary team in Baghdad, Iraq. As the Main Kitchen Artist, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and delicious dishes that elevate our guests’ dining experience.
- Design and execute innovative plating techniques for menu items
- Collaborate with the executive chef to develop new menu concepts and seasonal offerings
- Ensure consistent high-quality presentation of all dishes leaving the kitchen
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on food presentation techniques
- Maintain knowledge of current food trends and incorporate them into menu designs
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Assist in managing food costs and minimizing waste through creative use of ingredients
- Participate in menu tastings and provide feedback on dish improvements
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen
- Proven track record of creating visually appealing and innovative dish presentations
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines and culinary techniques
- Excellent understanding of flavor profiles and ingredient pairings
- Proficiency in menu planning and development
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Current food safety certification
