At Eni, we are seeking a Rotation Machinery Supervisor for the Zubair Field Operating Division in Basra, Iraq. You will be responsible for supervising all activities related to rotating equipment in accordance with the maintenance and production plan, ensuring maximum equipment availability while adhering to best practices and all applicable safety regulations and procedures.

Main responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily monitoring and maintenance of rotating equipment – such as gas compressors, turbines, and pumps – ensuring optimal and safe operation.
- Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to maintain equipment performance and prevent technical issues.
- Facilitate safe start-ups and shutdowns of rotating equipment, including all preparatory activities (e.g., process alignment).
- Investigate inadequate performance or recurring malfunctions of rotating equipment.
- Perform root cause analyses and identify lessons learned to resolve issues and improve performance.
- Support troubleshooting efforts in the event of rotating equipment failures or shutdowns.
- Prepare daily reports on activities performed and equipment status.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and schedule activities based on workload, manpower, company procedures, and priorities.
- Issue work requests for specialized tasks to be carried out in the internal workshop.
- Supervise contractor maintenance work, approve its completion, and propose improvements to enhance safety, efficiency and equipment performance.
- Regularly monitor operating parameters of rotating machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
- Manage logistics needs related to lubricants and other essential resources.
- Request specialist intervention when anomalies are detected in production units.
- Supervise all mechanical work within the facility, ensuring compliance with maintenance and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular site rounds to verify that all equipment and machinery are functioning correctly.
- Promptly communicate any anomalies or issues to the Plant Section Head.
- Ensure a written handover to the incoming shift at the end of each shift to maintain operational continuity.
- Check circuits, machine conditions, and work areas before and after unit start-up.
- Record operating parameters (e.g., flow, pressure) for rotating machinery.
- Demonstrate personal commitment to HSE by adhering to Eni and ZFOD policies and standards, ensuring safe operations and environmental care, and managing the preparation, validation, and monitoring of HSE permits to work.
Skills and experience required:
- Degree or diploma in an engineering or technical discipline.
- Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Significant experience in the operation and maintenance of rotating equipment.
- Fluent in English.
- Familiarity with oil and gas production equipment and operations.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and practices.
- Strong data management skills and computer literacy.
