MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Shop Foreman to join our vehicle sustainment team in Erbil, Iraq. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Prepare work schedules for efficient operations and maintain process knowledge.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, notifying the maintenance department as needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Repair and overhaul major assemblies of internal combustion vehicles. Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles.
  • Disassemble and overhaul engines, transmissions, and other assemblies.
  • Replace worn parts, align wheels, adjust brakes, and perform minor body work.
  • Follow established safety procedures. Guide new associates as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of qualified maintenance experience and a BA/BS degree, or 10+ years of qualified maintenance experience.
    • Qualified experience in maintenance, repair, and technical operations within industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance, or military environments.
  • Experience providing formal, over-the-shoulder, and on-the-spot technical training.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience preparing maintenance or operational documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve routine technical problems using established procedures and analysis.
  • Must successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a valid Driver’s License for the work location, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Passport valid for at least one year beyond the start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel to various U.S. and OCONUS locations.
  • Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP Family of Vehicle (FOV) systems.
  • Familiarity with MRAP and Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) systems.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and have a current/active Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
  • Must be able to work in high noise areas.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
  • Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
