Description of Duties:

Ensures items are stored immediately upon receipt, are properly arranged and tagged, and are stored under the best possible conditions to avoid spoilage and damage.

Ensures all merchandise entering the storerooms has proper documentation (receiving records, purchase orders, marketing lists, etc.) and all goods leaving the storerooms are supported with authorized requisitions.

Keeps storerooms organized, hygienic, clean, and properly locked at all times.

Ensures losses and thefts are prevented and each occurrence is investigated and documented.

Ensures store security measures are observed, access is limited to authorized personnel, and out-of-hours access procedures are established and enforced.

Regularly checks storage temperatures of storerooms, cold rooms, freezers, and fridges to ensure goods and supplies are stored under required temperatures.

Ensures inventory records are updated for each receiving and issuing and regularly verifies physical counts of items against inventory records. Investigates and reports all discrepancies.

Responsible for all inventories in the stores and assists in the monthly stocktaking initiated by Finance.

Assists with implementation and planning of inventory par stock levels.

Maintains established par levels for all items by monitoring the stock on a regular basis and timely placing restocking orders.

Prepares the daily market list based on the established reorder stock levels of food, beverage, and other operating supply items, and arranges purchase requests for replenishment of such items after obtaining relevant approvals.

Prepares and submits daily store issue summaries and departmental cost computations to the cost controller.

Prepares and submits the list of slow-moving items to ensure immediate measures are taken to avoid spoilage and wastage.
