Summary

Duties and responsibilities related to the Team Leader – Engineering role:

  • Provide guidance and direction to the engineering team, ensuring that colleagues are motivated, engaged, and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Support the Director of Engineering and Engineering Manager with the day to day running of the department
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner, minimizing disruptions to operations
  • Mentor and train maintenance colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team
  • Manage maintenance inventory, ensuring that necessary parts and supplies are available to support maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment for all team members

Qualifications

Holder of an official trade certificate or diploma in engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of work experience as an engineer in a hotel or a similar large building/complex with central plant.
