We are actively hiring a Kurdish (Sorani) Travel Linguist to join our team working in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Linguists will translate and perform consecutive interpretation between English and the source language/s
Linguists must be willing to travel overseas for extended periods, sometimes to areas of conflict
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
College education in target language
Interpretation. Simultaneous interpretation experience considered a plus
Translation into source language and English
Workflow management
Quality Control and Editing of language products
Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
Subject Matter Expertise in areas of Religion, Science and Technology and Sponsor Operations
