Louis Berger Services is currently looking for an Other Country National (OCN) to fill an Administrative Assistant position to support our LOGCAP V program in Iraq.
All candidates must pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
Major duties and responsibilities:
- The Logistics Administrative Assistant shall serve under the supervision of the Site Manager to provide administrative support for the project.
- Prepare, track and close-out electrical outage requests.
- Prepare and track parts requisitions. Coordinate with Vectrus Logistics to track all purchase requisitions and provide projections of part deliveries. Keep a steady tracking log of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare third party work order proposals, including estimates of required parts, labor hours, and equipment to perform the work. Proposals will be reviewed by the HV Manager prior to submitting to Vectrus.
- Provide daily reports to the Site Manager with details describing equipment quantities, locations, and delivery schedules in support of the Prime Power requirements;
- Assist in the distribution of material from the warehouse and local inventory to the work sites, as needed.
- Inventory and organize all on-site parts stored at the Power Plant and HV Shop. Coordinate with the Site Manager and HV Manager to dispose of unnecessary or unused parts. Develop inventory tracking system.
- Inventory all tools at the Power Plant and HV Shops. Develop tracking system to identify necessary calibration or testing requirements.
- Provide weekly updates on the status of high-priority procurement and logistics items.
- Track all shipments for subcontractors, including those for engine overhauls and wind turbine repairs.
- Track all oil sample kits, incoming and outgoing, and collect all laboratory reports for Power Plant Manager’s review.
- Monitor shipping documents to verify incoming and outgoing shipments. Use computer terminal equipment to determine stock locations and make selections by quantity and stock numbers.
- Closely monitor the movement of priority items and follow up on overdue material, keep the Site and HV Managers informed of material status. Coordinate with site material handlers and expediters to:
- Receive materials, parts, components and assemblies undergoing repair, rework or manufacture;
- Examine items received to verify part number, identity, and quantity with routing documents, checks for discrepancies such as untagged parts attached or unreported damage;
- Refer unresolved material shortages to site manager, recommending requests for fabrication or proposal for purchase;
- When routing documents are missing, or item identity is questionable, makes positive identification by referring to parts manuals, matching parts with like parts, or referring to finished parts lists or blueprints;
- If quantity of item is incorrect, attempt to locate missing items by backtracking routing, or initiating request for replacement parts;
– Dispatch and route material between power plant control points and shops;
- Plan and coordinate with the Site and HV Managers the storage, transport and procurement of equipment and supplies required for execution at the site.
- As directed by the Site Manager.
Essential qualifications:
- General knowledge parts and materials to maintain power plant operations, using knowledge of end item assemblies, stock and parts catalogs, specifications, prints, and technical manuals.
- A general knowledge of power plant operations and supply procedures to perform duties such as receive materials and parts and place them in storage areas most convenient to the power plant production process, ensure that received materials are stored in the proper project area, and dispose of materials according to regulations.
- Experience scoping and estimating small electrical distribution projects.
- Experienced working in international work environments.
- Proactive nature and strong interpersonal skills in collaborating, communicating and working with other senior Berger and Vectrus managers and staff.
Desirable qualifications:
- General knowledge of electrical systems and terminology.
- Experience working in LOGCAP or similar environments.
