Shareteah Humanitarian Organization (SHO) is an Iraqi National NGO promoting safety & development through mine action and explosive ordnance risk education (EORE)awareness, and clearance of mines, explosives and remnants of war.to assistance for people affected by armed conflict. Founded in 2016, SHO has organized & executed programs throughout Iraq. including the provinces of Nineveh, Duhok, Kirkuk, Tikrit, Anbar, and Baghdad. It currently holds offices in Duhok and Mosul.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Position Overview

The Finance and Administrative assistant functions directly alongside the project manager and is essential to the efficient running of the organization’s financial and administrative processes. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including handling financial transactions and records as well as providing essential administrative assistance. It also requires a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain book keeping/Financial Record is up-to-date in close coordination with Finance Officer
  • Ensure all expenses are within assigned project budget and donor requirements/contract.
  • Support the Finance Officer with the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate financial documentation in accordance with SHO’s policies.
  • Assistance with documentation preparation for donor reporting and audits.
  • Handling administrative duties including meeting scheduling, and office supply management.
  • Assist with HR duties such as maintaining employees’ personnel files records, supporting with hiring, and organizing staff training in close coordination with HR department. 
  • Assist in Office Management, Logistical arrangements for SHO staff members.
  • Organizing and maintaining electronic and physical filing and documentation.
  • Communicating financial and/or administrative policies and procedures to staff members.
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining Admin records and databases such as letter trackers, and inventory. etc.
  • Managing the organization’s official letter database and keeping it updated.
  • Undertake any other duties required by the line manager

Other Requirements: 

  • Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English. And excellent communications skills
  • Excellent IT skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. 
  • Attention to detail and excellent time management.
