The following is a general description of the position – Warehouse Worker within the Logistics Department. The position will be based at the one of three (3) locations in Iraq. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive

Overview

The Warehouseman reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager and will be responsible for the offloading, movement, storage and relocating of various types of equipment, material and supplies throughout the project.

The successful candidate must be able to drive and/or operate various types of warehouse vehicles or equipment, including but not limited to flatbed trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks and other types of warehouse equipment.

The Warehouseman will assist with inventory of incoming shipments as well as with periodic inventories conducted. Other duties will require activities such as – unpack, repack and reconfigure items for proper storage in the warehouse or other locations within the project.

The Warehouseman will be responsible for issuing inventoried items to various PAE employees by preparing hand receipts using an automated system.

The position requires interpersonal skills relating to PAE employees and the U.S. Government. Must be able to read, write, comprehend and effectively communicate in English to positively reflect upon the department and the project.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This is not a supervisory role, but does require the ability to coordinate with other logistics and project personnel to complete tasks.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in warehouse or a related field.
  • Basic skills working with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Extremely organized and Detail oriented; Flexibility with priorities
  • Language Skills: Strong, professional, oral and written English communication skills
  • Operator must perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment and comply with all safety rules & procedures to include personnel protective equipment. (PPE)
  • Knowledge of proper loading techniques and forklift weight capacities
  • A valid Driver’s license from applicants’ home state is required
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience with Material Handling Equipment Relevant certifications and training on this equipment a plus

Mathematical Skills

The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Have the ability to define problems and collect data while establishing facts to draw valid conclusions.

Security Vetting: Ability to obtain a favorable Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) certification prior to being hired is required for this position. The candidate must maintain eligibility at the required certification level for the duration of the contract.

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is not required for this position.

Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination.

DESIRED:

  • Relevant overseas contract experience.
  • Experience working with PAE.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is not a desk position. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Employee must have the ability to work in a hostile, harsh, dusty and hot work environment, frequently outside. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of all principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.
  • Experience providing excellent customer services.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.
