JOB SPECIFIC INFORMATION
This is a part-time, temporary position. The selected candidate will work Wednesday through Sunday for up to 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
The Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange (SVSE) Center provides services of supervising visits and monitoring exchanges with children for parents that have experienced domestic violence. The SVSE Center provides services in a nontherapeutic setting that promote the opportunity for both adult and child victims of domestic violence to have safe and secure supervised visitations and exchanges. SVSE Center does not offer an opinion as to the future status of visitation of any parent.
Candidate will observe and document children and family members during supervised visitation according to policy and report observations. Responsible for providing professional level case management or case coordination services for various populations. Duties include participation in treatment planning and the creation and implementation of a person-centered plan. Duties include linking and arranging of services and advocacy.
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing professional level case management or case coordination services for various populations. Duties include participation in treatment planning and the creation and implementation of a person-centered plan. Duties include linking and arranging of services and advocacy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Enters and maintains progress notes and clinical services in computerized chart and conduct chart reviews to ensure that all documentation adheres to State policies and procedures; reviews cases with supervisor and provides supporting documentation regarding consumers receiving financial assistance.
Assists consumers in resolving problems related to treatment or rehabilitation issues and various living problems in home, work, or social environments; provides support as consumer copes with negative consequences of specific mental health issues.
Interviews and screens potential consumers; reviews consumer’s mental health and/or substance abuse history; conducts case consultations with applicable individuals; coordinates discharge planning.
Evaluates client’s immediate circumstances, including environmental situations and availability of services/support.
Develops service plans in concert with consumers.
Monitors consumer’s progress on a regular basis via office visits, home visits, or phone contacts.
Prepares a variety of reports and documents related to consumer services, progress, and/or other related consumer issues.
Conducts random drug screens.
Fosters inter-agency collaborations and researches additional services or programs available to consumers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Two years of directly related experience.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a human service related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence
Bilingual skills (Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
Typical and atypical child development.
Common early intervention strategies.
Testing procedures and materials, how to administer them, and how to score and interpret the results.
Typical effect/consequences of common diagnoses.
Multidisciplinary approach to child assessment and treatment.
How to integrate child and family needs into family service plan.
Provision of culturally relevant services in consumer’s home environment and in a wide variety of settings.
Skilled in:
Providing customer service;
Coordinating professional and support services in various programs;
Developing service plans;
Using a computer and related software applications;
Applying and interpreting applicable laws, rules, regulations, and procedures;
Preparing a variety of reports and documentation;
Assessing consumer needs, concerns, priorities and progress.
