Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager

**This position is contingent upon contract award**

SOSi is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager to join a large medical support services program in Iraq supporting our U.S. Government customer. The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager will be responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable contract and regulatory requirements.

  • Implement and manage the QA/QC Program
  • Ensure performance and quality of assigned QA/QC function conforms to established standards and company guidelines; SOPs, policies and procedures, sub-contractor deliverables and standards of work to ensure customer performance work requirements are met or exceeded
  • Supports development of internal process controls, strategies, and techniques that ensure SOSi exceeds contractual requirements
  • Audit procedural elements of program management
  • Conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation
  • Coordinate collection of responses to customer concerns
  • Work directly with operating entities to ensure inspections, statistical process analyses, and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements and meet specifications
  • Consult with PMO management in determining best measures of program efficiency
  • Conduct and direct internal management audits, prepare formal audit reports, and define audit schedules
  • Reviews and approves SOPs, work instructions, forms and validation plans from other departments on behalf of Quality Assurance
  • Consult with local management in determining root causes for non-conformances to QA/QC Plan and to customer contractual requirements
  • Implement the Process Improvement Program
  • Build good working relationships with task order leadership and actively participate in management process
  • Assess contractual requirements, develop and maintain checklists, and communicate within QA/QC function
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Required and able to obtain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT)
  • Bachelor’s Degree; may substitute two (2) additional years of experience for each year of college
  • Minimum eight (8) years of work experience with at least two (2) years in a QA/QC capacity and two (2) years in a management role. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical and/or public health field
  • Maintain current certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified in Lean Six Sigma process
  • Overseas contingency experience in Iraq

  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required

  • Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
  • Long Hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse condition
