Supervisor- (Arabic Speaking Required)

FLSA Status: Exempt Department: Operations Reports to: Terminal Manager

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Ensure a safe and harassment and discrimination free work environment by following and enforcing all safety rules and procedures, all company policies, applicable laws and Precision values
• Contribute to and model the continuous improvement of safety, efficiency, and work environment
• Transmit and explain work assignments to employees
• Review work throughout the work process, to identify and correct deficiencies, including damage and loss prevention, and at completion to ensure quality, efficiency and compliance with AAR, Customer and Company standards
• Conduct routine inspections of shuttle vans to ensure cleanliness meets company expectations and the “no food, smoking, or drinking (with the exception of water)” rules are enforced.
• Conduct daily work area inspections to ensure all safety hazards are identified and corrective actions taken, to include reporting hazards to appropriate department/manager
• Assign duties to ensure adequate use of resources (people, equipment, supplies)
• Participate in personnel functions such as timekeeping, payroll data entry, selection, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary meetings, and investigations
• All other duties as required for safe, efficient, and effective operations as assigned by manager

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal skills: active listening, effective verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, coaching skills and conflict resolution
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to apply general rules to specific problems and produce answers/solutions that make sense
• Ability to motivate, develop, train and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job
• Effective time management skills are required
• Ability to read, interpret, and administer Collective Bargaining Agreements
• Computer skills : Microsoft office suite, Paycor
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience required – preferably in a unionized automotive environment

Bilingual Skills in English and Arabic are a must!

• The employee is required to converse and hear in industrial settings -indoor & outdoor

(noise level is moderate)

• The employee is frequently required to move about on concrete and uneven surfaces for extended periods of time
• The employee is required to work outdoors safely in all weather conditions for extended periods of time
• The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, ascend or descend ladders safely at heights of 10 feet or more, balance, squat, and kneel
• The vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and adjust focus.
