Transport Operator- Mail Scanning

SUMMARY

Performs tasks necessary to operate NCR‑7780 Transport mail machine.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Removes trays of processed mail from shelves and operates the jogger.

Inserts documents that have been jogged into the transport hopper for imaging.

Types in specific information for whatever campaign that will be running.

Removes documents from bins after they have been processed by the machine.

Separates documents from checks.

Sets up transport for encoding of checks, and processes those checks through the imager.

Bundles information according to specific criteria and puts in tray.

Clears jams from machine using established methods.

Performs reject pulls and batch setups.

Runs survey sort program.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs general maintenance on the NCR‑7780 Transport as necessary.

Replaces paper tape when needed.

May run envelopes for Correspondence area.

May run vouchers for Opex area.

Maintains confidentiality of CDS Global and its clients’ proprietary information.

Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

Monitors batch status for problem batches and second pass work.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

High School Diploma or GED.

Average communication skills.

Average working knowledge of PC/CRT equipment/Office equipment.

Ability to make group or independent decisions.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Ability to perform simple mathematical problems.

Ability to react to change and remain productive.

Training

Monday – Friday (time to be determined)

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday 7am – 3pm

Shift Differential Premiums

Salary:
Base wage = $12.50/hour

Shift Differential Premiums

2nd Shift = $.75/paid hour if 50% or more of scheduled hours occur between 4pm-12am on a regular and reoccurring basis.

WKND Shift = $3.75/ hour worked between 3am Saturday to 11pm Sunday.
