About the Position:
The Digital Navigator coordinates opportunities that support newcomers to access online and remote settlement services with greater confidence and effectiveness. The Digital Navigator mentors through facilitating workshops and drop-in sessions that focus on digital literacy topics and tools

Reports to: Regional Manager

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Facilitates workshops, drop-in and one-to-one coaching sessions on increasing digital literacy and familiarity with accessing remote services

Facilitates online client registration and accesses for settlement workshops

Liaises with Community Connections Coordinators

Coordinates the work of multilingual online volunteer navigator mentors

Assists creating online volunteer navigator mentorship management processes including: orientation, training and multilingual materials to support client digital literacy, and maintaining online privacy and confidentiality

Other related duties as assigned by Regional Manager

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor of Education, Social Sciences or other relevant diploma or certification in a related field of study

Experience and/or relevant training teaching others how to use computers and the internet

Experience working with immigrants, live-in-caregivers and/or refugees

Experience with multicultural clientele and immigrant-related services

Experience facilitating online webinars, in-person workshops and delivering one-to-one support services

Experience coordinating volunteers

Knowledge of MS Teams, Zoom, Moodle and web-based applications and online learning platforms

Knowledge of settlement information and resources is an asset

Job Skills & Abilities:
Excellent group facilitation skills and project coordination skills

Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Additional languages are an asset

Ability to be task-oriented, work independently and in a cooperative team environment

Ability to work with individuals and communities facing cultural adjustment challenges and multiple barriers

Ability to design, promote, deliver and facilitate digital literacy webinars/workshops

Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
